Jen received her B.A. in 2004 from University of Florida. She continued at the University of Florida and earned a M.A. Communication Sciences and Disorders, 2006. Jen is adept at providing therapy for toddlers and preschool age children in language development and Childhood Apraxia of Speech. She also has experience working with toddlers and young children who have pediatric feeding disorders.
Jen has earned over 50 hours of continuing education related to pediatric feeding. While in Ohio, she also completed continuing education related to PLAY project and worked with early interventionists to implement PLAY with autistic children and their families. She loves being a part of a child’s team from a young age. Jen shares, “Working in the home setting allows for incredible, natural growth opportunities for the children we serve and their caregivers. Watching children achieve so many “firsts”, while cheering on them and their families, is the very best feeling!”
Jen shares that she began her career, in 2006, as a public school SLP in Atlanta, GA. After 4 years in the school system, she transitioned to working with adults with developmental disabilities and then to a pediatric private practice. She has been working primarily in early intervention since 2015. She worked for Sprout from 2015-2018. Then she moved to Dayton, Ohio and worked in early intervention from 2018-2022 while her husband was stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. She rejoined the Sprout team during the summer of 2022 and is so happy to be back! Jen comments, “Sprout provides comprehensive, innovative therapy options for all the families we serve. The team approach to working with children, their families and other members of the child’s care team is both effective and functional, allowing for the best possible outcomes for our Sprout clients. The levels of support provided, to both families and clinicians, is amazing!”.
Jen is married to Tim, and they have two children, Susie, and John. They love the outdoors, beach, tennis, and spending time exploring new cities!
