Eleftheria (Lefty) Kambanis is a Speech-Language Pathologist from South Africa! She attended the University of Cape Town in South Africa where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2005. Lefty is a gifted therapist in dysphagia therapy/feeding and swallowing disorders; Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT)/Bobath approach and in Autism. She has 15 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist and she has worked with variety of age groups and cultures. Lefty speaks and reads English, Afrikaans and Greek. She also understands and speaks some basic Sesotho.
Most recently Lefty has worked in nursing homes and in the school setting but is anxious to get back to the early intervention setting. She shares “it never gets boring as every child’s development is different and not linear. It is a privilege and fulfilling to be a part of this amazing journey and observe their progress.”
Lefty is thrilled to have found Sprout and made the connection with our owner Rhyno, as they both are originally South Africans! Lefty said, “the ethos of the organization resonates with who I am including my personal and professional beliefs. Work can be just work but Sprout Pediatrics is family!”
Lefty and her husband have two daughters who are 5 years old and 7 months old, respectively. She enjoys swimming, dancing and good company.
