Marie serves as a Physical Therapist with Sprout Pediatrics. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Clemson University in 2009. She then attended the Medical University of South Carolina, where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2013. Marie began her career by working in an outpatient setting, serving patients with neurological and orthopedic impairments before coming to work for Sprout in 2015.
Marie is a credentialed clinical instructor and really enjoys working with students to help shape the future of clinicians in physical therapy. Marie is particularly excited about the most recent courses she completed on the Evaluation and Treatment of Vestibular Impairments in Children, Treatment for the Pre–crawling Infant, and Gait Interventions to Improve Function in Children with Cerebral Palsy.
Marie states, “I enjoy working with the pediatric population because it is extremely fulfilling to help children learn to become more functionally independent. This independence comes with achieving a higher sense of self which I think is invaluable to my patients and their families. I love being a part of helping a child in accomplishing the very first milestones in life and to witness the excitement from the child and family as a result.” She is excited to be working at Sprout for many reasons: “I love being a part of a team that is committed to quality care and enriching the lives and experiences of children at an early age. I also enjoy collaborating with other professionals and learning various treatment approaches from all our clinicians, to incorporate into my own care. Working with individuals who truly love what they do is such a blessing.”
Marie enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and dog. They like to travel to the mountains or beach, cheer on the Clemson Tigers, and spend time outdoors!
